I have a securus account and suddenly 2 months ago, the local cost of a phone call doubled - on 4/3/2017 it was $1.83 then on 4/10/2017 it was $3.53. No notification, explanation, etc.

When I called customer sertvice it's just a series of recordings. I asked for live "chat" where they say it's an average wait of 1 -2 mins and waited over 45 mins with no response. I have e-mailed only to have them ask for PIN numbers which I don't remember setting up, details about the call and any number of other roadblocks, but never a straight answer on why my cost has doubled. Securus is the most unfriendly customer oriented company I've had to deal with in a long tome.

I'm not sure what to do as they have a monopoly on the jail calling business and there are not any reasonnable alternatives. Frustrating...

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $50.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Securus Technologies Cons: Billing practices, Not able to resolve issue, Extremely bad customer service.
